Funds for Those Emergencies

Funds for Those Emergencies

Unfortunately there are many people who have no savings to cover an emergency if it were to happen.  If you have a car, eventually it will need repairs or scheduled maintenance and what about an unexpected illness. Medical bills are always sky-high and without any savings, how would you pay for it.  Many people will pay with plastic and add to their already maxed out credit card bills.

Having a cash reserve is a great feeling and it lets you relax and not worry about the future and what it might bring. If an emergency arises, you won’t have to borrow against next week’s paycheck or ask family members for help when times are tough. You can have a separate saving account to dip into to pay what is needed and you can call this your emergency fund.

This is where you can bridge the gap in your income and have a safety net when you need to pay for those things that life can throw at you.  You live with a risk if you don’t have an emergency fund. A typical amount for a fund like this would be three to six months of paychecks but even if this is not possible, any savings is better than no savings at all. Put away some funds and leave it there, for that rainy day when it will certainly come in handy.
